Dominican Republic Paradisus Punta Cana // Couples Beach Shoot

Shortly after the new year, Nick and I took a trip to the DR with his co-workers thanks to his work!    We both have work-a-holic personalities so its always interesting when we go on vacation. For the most part we did pretty good...but the minute I saw the beach I just knew I somehow had to magically get a session in.

Fortunately for me, one of his co-workers is the second half of BrainsANDBrawn Athletics. Aka they are super fit and look bomb in swimsuits on a beach. If you look at my feed, it's easy to see I'm attracted to taking photos near water. Despite this, I've never had the chance to take pictures like this so I was SOOO excited when they agreed. I can't wait to work with them again and take some photos of them in their daily element working out.

Rainier Chapter House Wedding // Meet the Harms

I kicked off my 2018 wedding season with Rebecca and Andrew at the Rainier Chapter House. It's located in the most adorable neighborhood and has such a charming feel!

I actually grew up going to church with Rebecca when we were little - I'm talking about we met when we were 5 little. So when she reached out about wedding photography I got so excited. Shooting weddings in general is such an honor and amazing experience, but getting to do it for someone you knew throughout childhood multiples that 10 fold.

Winter Wonderland Styled Shoot

I've lived in Washington my entire life and have maybe gone up into the mountains during the winter twice... mainly because we only ever had sedans. This past fall, Nick and I got a Jeep so I was finally able to make plans to explore and play in the snow. I've always wanted to do an all out snow shoot and here is the magic that came from it!

When Nick and I first moved to Seattle I joined a local fitness boutique. I wanted to stay in shape but also joined hoping I could make some friends in the city. Thanks to this studio,  I met Andrea. A boss babe with a bangin body, fantastic work ethic, and the biggest heart. She is literally someone who loves to help others - a trait that isn't always the easiest to find.

I had never done any type of fitness shoot before but really wanted to give it a try so the two of us got together and messed around on the roof of a Seattle parking garage and got some great results.

Fall Bridal Shoot

My dear friends from Ella Ever After Weddings and I got together for a fall styled bridal shoot at the most adorable farm in Tacoma - Wild Hearts Farm. I always love working with them because they do such a great job of bringing the vision to life.

Snoqualmie Pass Engagement

The lush greenery and snow capped mountain tops of Snoqualmie Pass made for a beautiful backdrop during Jennifer and Matts engagement session. I say it all the time but we seriously love in a beautiful state. I'm pretty sure I was drooling during this session because the setting and couple were STUNNING!

Addysons 16th Birthday

Addyson celebrated her 16th birthday with her closest friends and as you can tell from the photos, she is lucky to have a ton of them! I have known Addyson since she was in elementary school thanks to the Miss Auburn little sister program. I absolutely adore this girl and cannot believe that she is old enough to be driving (brb while I go cry). Addy, I am so proud of the girl you have become and can't wait to see where life takes you.

The beautiful Anna

Social media, despite its downfalls, is amazing because it gives creatives like myself the opportunity to meet people not otherwise possible. Thanks to instagram I met Anna, a bridal model from Chicago! We had briefly talked about shooting together one day and it just so happened I had a trip planned to see my brother so we decide to work together. It was honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made! This shoot really helped boost my confidence and made me realize how much I love doing what I do. There were so many amazing shots from this session that I had a really hard time picking images for this so...theres a ton hahah. Enjoy!

Fallon + Conrad

I have known Fallon probably since I was 5 years old. We grew up going to church together and got to experience all of our awkward teenage years together - it was awesome! 

Flash forward a few years and she is now married and her and her husband have an adorable baby boy named Conrad. He loves longboarding and all things Starwars. Long story short he's awesome.

The cool thing about doing shoots for fun is that you get to experiment with different editing techniques. So for this session I tried something a little different...let me know what you think!
